How to Register as a Vendor in Idaho

What it's for

Idaho runs its state supplier portal, called IPRO, on Luma, the state's Infor-based business system run by the State Controller's Office (SCO). You register there to submit responses to state bids, get paid faster and see your invoices and payments. The Division of Purchasing points vendors to the same portal as its "Bid Opportunities" link.

Have this ready

• An email address. SCO recommends using it as your username.
• Legal business name and tax ID (FEIN/EIN, or SSN for sole proprietors)
• A W-9 signed and dated within the last 90 days. You must attach it during registration.
• Business registration with the Idaho Secretary of State, if it applies to your business type
• The commodity codes that describe your goods or services. You pick them from the portal's list.
• Contact names, phone numbers and addresses
• Banking details are not entered in the portal. SCO's Vendor Management team handles them.

Steps

1. Open the IPRO (Luma Supplier Portal) link from purchasing.idaho.gov. If you already sell to the state, you may already have an account, so contact SCO before you create a duplicate.
2. Choose the option to register as a supplier and follow the SCO Quick Reference Guide, which covers every step.
3. Enter your business, tax ID and contact information.
4. Attach your signed W-9 in the tax certification field.
5. Choose one or more commodity codes that describe what you sell.
6. Submit. The SCO Supplier Portal Administration team gets an email and checks your registration. You can't submit bid responses until your account is validated.
7. Once validated, log in and use Open Events to find and respond to bid opportunities.

After you register

• Update your contacts and commodity codes in the portal as your business changes. Send banking changes to SCO Vendor Management.
• You can use the portal to track invoices and payments on state work.
• For help, email supplierportal@sco.idaho.gov or call 208-334-3100, menu option 5. SCO says it responds in 2–3 business days.
• A renewal or re-validation schedule was not confirmed in official sources.

Watch out for

• Not everything is in one place. The Division of Purchasing's Open & Future Solicitations page says solicitations run by other agencies are not included, so some agencies post on their own.
• Construction and DOT. State building construction is bid through the Division of Public Works (dpw.idaho.gov/construction), and the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) posts its own bids.
• Old W-9. A W-9 older than 90 days can hold up validation.
• Fees. Registration is free, but older Division of Purchasing FAQs mention administrative fees on some awarded contracts, so read each solicitation.
• Paid services. You don't need a paid third-party "registration service." Registration is free.
