How to register to bid in Ohio

- Go to ohiobuys.ohio.gov and choose the OhioBuys login.
- If you don't have an OH|ID, create one. Verify your email with the PIN sent to you, enter your name and date of birth, create a username and password, set up recovery options and accept the terms.
- Once signed in, fill out the Bidder Registration Request form: tax ID, legal name, Secretary of State number, address and commodities.
- Add any certifications that apply.
- Submit the request and wait for an email. The guide says you'll be notified "when the State of Ohio has reviewed and taken action on your request."
What to have ready
- An email address for an OH|ID account (Ohio's state login), plus a mobile number if you want account recovery by text
- Tax ID number (TIN/EIN)
- Legal business name exactly as shown on your tax returns
- Ohio Secretary of State charter/entity number
- Full business address, including county
