What it is
Avetta is a supplier and contractor compliance platform. Client companies use it to collect and review their suppliers' safety documents, questionnaires and insurance. As a supplier, you register once, see what each client requires, and manage compliance tasks across your clients from one account.
Who asks for it
Companies that use Avetta to manage their supply chain. Usually you hear about it through an invitation. Avetta's FAQ says: "If you received an invitation from your client or Avetta, your client has identified you as a supply chain partner." Avetta says it is used by 360,000+ businesses in 120+ countries.
Have this ready
Avetta's supplier pages list these general categories. Your client decides the specifics.
- The invitation from your client (or the client's name)
- Safety documentation
- Completed questionnaires
- Insurance information and certificates
- Injury information (Avetta's Plus plan lists "insurance and injury verification")
- Basic business information for verification
Steps
Avetta publishes this sequence:
- Sign up. Register at app.avetta.com/registration. Avetta says this "typically takes 5-10 minutes."
- Review your quote. During registration, Avetta gives a personalized quote "so you can clearly see the cost before you move forward."
- Submit required information. That means "safety documentation, questionnaires, and insurance," based on what your client requires.
- Review. Avetta "reviews your information against your client's requirements."
- Get to work. Avetta says, "once approved, you're ready to work." Approval depends on meeting your client's requirements.
Avetta recommends registering even if your work hasn't started, "so you're ready when work is scheduled or a purchase order is issued."
Costs and renewals
- Price: Avetta doesn't post prices. Its FAQ says pricing "depends on the type of work you perform and your client's specific requirements." You see the quote during registration.
- Plan levels (no prices published):
- *Directory:* "No client connections." A searchable profile only.
- *Standard:* "Meet foundational client requirements," with essential business verification.
- *Plus:* for "more involved compliance requirements," including insurance and injury verification.
- *Advanced:* adds safety audits.
- *Vetify add-on:* paid compliance support with "customized guidance," insurance support and ongoing maintenance.
- Renewal: Avetta's public pages don't publish renewal terms. Ask during registration whether the plan renews automatically and when. Avetta's Help Center couldn't be checked.
- Support: +1 855-832-4477 (U.S.).
Watch out for
- Your client's requirements drive the price. Avetta says pricing depends on your client's specific requirements, and its plan levels are matched to how involved those requirements are. Read the quote before you pay.
- Directory isn't a client connection. Avetta describes the Directory plan as having "No client connections." Make sure the plan you pick connects you to the client who invited you.
- Insurance rules come from each client. Get your client's required limits and any "additional insured" wording from them. Then give it to your agent word for word.
- Keep your COI current. Upload renewed certificates before the old ones expire.
- Confirm the invitation is real. If you're unsure, contact the client or Avetta support at the number above before entering payment details.
