What it is

Veriforce is a supply chain risk management platform. Hiring clients use it to collect and track their contractors' compliance documents and training. As a contractor, you subscribe and upload what each hiring client requires. Veriforce then alerts you so you "meet all hiring client requirements and never miss an expiration date." Its U.S. contractor subscription is called Compliance Pro. Other Veriforce networks include ComplyWorks (global), VeriSource (DOT operator qualification) and CHAS (U.K.).

Who asks for it

Hiring clients that use Veriforce. Veriforce says it has 3,200+ hiring clients across 12 industries: airports, chemicals, construction, facility management, manufacturing, mining, municipalities, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, renewable energy, telecom and utilities.

Have this ready

Veriforce's contractor page lists these as documents you upload:

  • Insurance certificates
  • Safety programs
  • Training records
  • JSAs (job safety analyses)
  • MSAs (master service agreements)
  • Employee information for badges and training tracking (if your client uses those features)

The registration form also asks:

  • The name of the hiring client that referred you (if any)
  • Whether you do work outside the U.S.
  • Whether you perform DOT-covered tasks

Each hiring client sets its own exact requirements. Veriforce's public pages don't list items such as OSHA logs or EMR letters. Ask your client.

Steps

  1. Go to veriforce.com/join-our-network.
  2. If a hiring client referred you, "find your client to proceed to the next step." If not, choose a product.
  3. Answer the screening questions: work outside the U.S., and DOT-covered tasks. For DOT operator-qualification work, Veriforce uses a separate VeriSource form.
  4. U.S. contractors self-register for Compliance Pro at app.veriforceone.com/billing. That page needs JavaScript, so we couldn't check its steps or prices.
  5. Upload your client's required documents and set up any employee training or badge records your client requires.
  6. Watch your alerts and keep documents current so you keep meeting your hiring client's requirements.

Costs and renewals

  • Price: not published. Veriforce says contractor subscriptions are "tiered according to the number of employees." For a quote, contact Veriforce at +1 844-570-7123 or through its contact page.
  • Included extras: Veriforce says subscribers get "free monthly safety meetings (including presentation, quiz, answer key, and certificate)" and secure file storage for up to six years.
  • Renewal: Veriforce doesn't publish renewal terms. Ask whether the subscription is annual and whether it renews automatically.

Watch out for

  • Pick the right product. U.S. Compliance Pro, ComplyWorks, VeriSource (DOT OQ) and CHAS are separate sign-ups. Ask your hiring client which one they use before you pay.
  • Employee count drives price. Have an accurate headcount ready.
  • Client-set insurance rules. Get your hiring client's insurance limits and any "additional insured" wording from them. Then give it to your agent word for word.
  • Expirations. Insurance certificates and training records expire. Use the alerts and upload renewals before the old ones lapse.
