What to have ready

- Federal tax ID (EIN), or SSN for a sole proprietor, for the W-9. The state's supplier page says an electronic W-9 is required for change requests.
- Bank (ACH) information for payments
- UNSPSC commodity codes for what you sell. Vermont moved to higher-level ("Level 2") UNSPSC codes on December 16, 2025, and posts a cross-reference spreadsheet.
