How to Register as a Vendor in Georgia

What it's for

On July 1, 2026, Georgia moved state purchasing to GA@WORK. DOAS says: "The first step in becoming a successful supplier with the state of Georgia is registering your company in GA@WORK Marketplace for Suppliers." That portal handles supplier registration, bid notifications, responses to electronic sourcing events, contracts, and Georgia Business Certification applications. Open state bids are listed publicly on the Georgia Procurement Registry (GPR).

Have this ready

• Tax ID (FEIN/EIN, or SSN for individuals). Georgia verifies tax ID, physical address, and banking information for supplier accounts.
• Legal business name and physical address
• Contact name, email, and phone for the person who will handle bids
• Commodity codes for what you sell. Georgia has used NIGP codes for bid notices; confirm the code set in the GA@WORK registration job aid.
• Banking information for payments (handled in the separate GA@WORK Supplier Management portal)

Steps

1. Download DOAS's job aid "Register as a Prospective Supplier in GA@WORK Marketplace for Suppliers" from the Job Aids for Suppliers page. The job aids are PowerPoint files and could not be read for this guide, so follow them for exact screens.
2. Go to the GA@WORK Marketplace for Suppliers (link above) and register as a prospective supplier.
3. Enter your company, tax ID, address, and contact details, and choose the commodity codes that match your business so you get bid notices.
4. Submit, then log in and note your GA@WORK Marketplace Supplier ID (DOAS has a job aid for finding it).
5. Find opportunities on the GPR and respond to sourcing events in the Marketplace (see the "Respond to Sourcing Events" job aid).

After you register

• Keep your contacts, email, and commodity codes current. Under the old system DOAS told suppliers, "You are responsible for your information including your NIGP codes, email address, and all other contact information." Expect the same now.
• Payments, invoices, and banking updates happen in the separate GA@WORK Supplier Management portal (State Accounting Office). The SAO emailed login credentials to existing suppliers.

• Renewal requirements were not stated on official pages checked.

Watch out for

• Old instructions still online: some state pages still describe Team Georgia Marketplace (TGM). Whether old TGM bidder profiles carried over to GA@WORK was not confirmed. If you were in TGM, check with ProcurementHelp.
• Two portals: Marketplace (bidding) and Supplier Management (payments) are separate logins.
• Construction and DOT are separate: GDOT road and bridge construction bids run through GDOT's own solicitation and letting process (solicitation.dot.ga.gov) and GDOT runs its own contractor prequalification program. Where state building construction posts was not confirmed here.
• GPR mixes state, university, and local bids. Check who the buyer is.
• Paid third-party "registration services" are not required.
